"Wish list" of the Contents of an Ideal Web Site for EMU.

0. General aim: "one known, publicised, definitive, up to date source".
1. General information (i.e. all the kinds of information already there on the EC site)
- timetable
- convergence criteria
- etc
2. Information from each country on their requirements - either the information is "there" or there are links to other sites.
- public sector requirements (in detail)
eg. reporting requirement (in which currency);
eg. archives - requirements for reporting old data - eg in which currency;
what will be acceptable when?
- how the country will "work": requirements based on different scenarios, eg in 1999; out 1999; in later; disaster/collapse.
3. Explanations of the conversion scenarios with detailed examples.
- eg how exchange rates will be used, conversion process, rounding issues explanation of "triangulation" (ie GBP to DEM conversion not allowed but must be GBP-Euro-DEM).
- examples of conversion using non-European currencies. ie is there any impact? do these have to use "triangulation"?
4. Up to date information on the rules/regulations/laws from the EC and national governments.
5. Links to national banks' web sites.
6. Links to -or explanations of - pan-European systems, eg payment and clearing systems.
7. A place to "check-in" and register your interest.

10. A discussion forum, ie postbox, where discussions can be held
